Akiba reports that Intel has start selling desktop Pentium 4 processors with its EM64T 64-bit technology. Two models appeared in shops: a 3.60GHz and a 3.40GHz one. The availability of the 3.60GHz model is still limited.
It adds that Nocona server chips supporting EM64T have been for sale for some time, but this is the first appearance of desktop chips - which Intel is currently targeting at the workstation market.
