NVIDIA to ditch Albatron, Biostar, Club3D, ECS and Foxconn?

Posted on Monday, October 06 2008 @ 22:04:35 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

It's rumoured that NVIDIA will cut some of its partners in Europe to give its biggest partners some more breathing space and according to FUD Zilla it will be the following five players: Albatron, Biostar, Club3D, ECS and Foxconn.
Last week we managed to find out two names of partners that will be gone from Nvidia partner list, at least in EU and now we got the full monty. We’ve already mentioned Foxconn and Club 3D, here, and the remaining three are ECS, Biostar and Albatron.

The last three are second tier motherboard manufacturer and obviously, they didn’t focus enough on graphics to remain on Nvidia’s life support list. We talked to some of these people, and its easy to imagine that they are far from happy about it. Nvidia on the other hand, simply had to cut the smaller ones in order to help the big ones to survive the storm.
