NVIDIA denies it will cut more jobs

Posted on Monday, October 27 2008 @ 15:13:43 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

The rumour mill about NVIDIA has been glowing hot red this year but many of the rumours that are (and were) circulating turn out to be false. This month it became clear that NVIDIA will definitely not exit the chipset market and today the firm put the rumour that it would cut more jobs to rest:
Amid media reports that Nvidia plans to cut another 1,000 more jobs in the near future, Nvidia has responded by stating that the story is completely untrue.

Nvidia announced in September that it expects to eliminate approximately 360 positions worldwide, or about 6.5% of the company's global workforce. The reduction is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of fiscal 2009 ending October 26, 2008.
