ThermalRight Ultra-120 True Copper is 4°C cooler

Posted on Thursday, October 30 2008 @ 22:30:11 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Expreview has tested the ThermalRight Ultra-120 True Copper, this is a limited edition processor cooler fully made out of copper. This beast weighs 1.890g and according to their tests it keeps a Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 overclocked to 3.6GHz 4°C cooler than a ThermalRight Ultra 120E. The full copper cooler keeps the processor at 67°C while the temperature climbs to 71°C with the Ultra 120E. In idle mode both coolers kept the chip at 44°C.

Only 3,000 units will be available, and they'll cost around $100.
