Posted on Sunday, September 19 2004 @ 22:20:25 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

IDV released a tech demo of Trees of Pangaea, which shows you some of the capabilities of their SpeedTree technology.

Trees of Pangaea is a freely downloadable demo of seven of the most stunning environments ever seen in real-time. Asian jungle, New England in the fall, a haunted woods and more! Built with SpeedTreeRT v1.7 (scheduled for release in September 2004), Trees of Pangaea reflects a quantum leap over older SpeedTreeRT demos. Amazing lighting effects, unparalleled global and local wind behavior, and trees and plants in unprecedented numbers stretching for as far as the eye can see — this is what all the best games are going to look like soon. More info on the Trees of Pangaea page.

If you wan't to see its capabilities or if you just want some eye-candy then download it here (134MB)
