Nintendo to launch Dual Screen DS on 21st November

Posted on Tuesday, September 21 2004 @ 16:57:47 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Nintendo has said it will release its DS console on the 21st of November in the US. The new DS has two screens, touch input, voice recognition and some other features like Pictochat which allows users to write messages and draw pictures with a stylus and then send them to other nearby DS users.
The DS wakes up if it senses another console in transmitting range. Nintendo said that 100 companies will make games for the DS, including Electronic Arts. It will play games developed for the Game Boy Advance.
The dual-screen Nintendo DS will be priced at $150. It will be launched first in the US, then in Japan, and in Q1 2005 in Europe and Australia.
