MSI Wind NetBOX specifications and photo revealed

Posted on Friday, December 12 2008 @ 20:16:10 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

VR Zone got their hands on two photos of the MSI Wind NetBOX, a mini PC designed to be attached to a VESA mount on the back of a LCD display. The Wind NetBOX will be introduced next month at CES 2009.

    Here are the specifications:
Measuring at just 180 x 255 x 19mm (0.87L), it is powered by Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, GMA950 integrated graphics (up to 2048x1536 resolution), 1GB onboard DDR2 memory with an additional SO-DIMM slot for another 1GB DDR2 memory, 160GB 2.5" 5400rpm HDD. Apparently, it only has support for 10/100M Ethernet. It draws 40W of power.

Other specs include 1 x SATA port, 1 x Mini PCIe slot, 3 USB 2.0 ports, HD Audio Codec with jack sensing, 3-in-1 memory card reader (SD/MMC/MS). The OS is either XP Home or Linux SUSE.
