    The Sims 3 system requirements unveiled

    EA has unveiled the minimum system requirements of The Sims 3. The minimum requirements for Windows Vista are a bit higher than those for Windows XP, but basically anyone with a somewhat decent PC should be able to play this game.
    Windows XP SP2 Desktop Users:
    CPU: Pentium IV 2.0 GHz / Athlon XP 2000+
    RAM: 1GB
    Graphics: GeForce FX 5900 / Radeon 9500
    Video RAM: 128MB

    Windows XP SP2 Notebook Users:
    CPU: Pentium IV 2.0 GHz / Athlon XP 2000+
    RAM: 1.5GB RAM
    Graphics: GeForce Go 6200 / Radeon mobile 9600
    Video RAM: 128MB RAM

    Windows Vista SP1 Desktop Users:
    CPU: Pentium IV 2.4 GHz / Athlon XP 2400+
    RAM: 1.5GB RAM
    Graphics: GeForce FX 5900 / Radeon 9500
    Video RAM: 128MB

    Windows Vista SP1 Notebook Users:
    CPU: Pentium IV 2.4 GHz / Athlon XP 2400+
    RAM: 2.0 GB
    Graphics: GeForce Go 6200 / Radeon mobile 9600
    Video RAM: 128MB
    This new The Sims game will be released on February 20, 2009.
