ThermalRight AXP-140 low-profile CPU cooler launched

Posted on Monday, December 29 2008 @ 18:29:11 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

ThermalRight has officially released the AXP-140 low-profile processor cooler. This cooler was designed for HTPC systems, the AXP-140 has a total height of just 70.2mm and features a large surface for an optional 120mm or 140mm fan.

The AXP-140 has a copper base, six copper heatpipes and aluminum fins. All of its components were nickel-plated, ThermalRight explains they did this to reduce oxidation to maintain top performance for long term usage.

The ThermalRight AXP-140 measures 145m x 147mm x 70.2mm (L x W x H) and weighs 550g without a fan. The cooler only ships with a Intel LGA775 mounting kit, so it's not compatible with other Intel or AMD processors.
