Western Digital launches 2.5" Scorpio HDD

Western Digital launched a new 2.5" HDD for notebooks and multimedia devices. It's WD its first product for portable devices.
The Western Digital Scorpio sports the following features:
- 5,400 rpm
- Up to 12 ms seek
- 40, 60, 80 GB capacity
- EIDE
- 2 MB buffer (up to 8 MB)
According to TrendFocus shipments of 2.5" hard drives will grow by almost 25% this year (from 47 to 60 million).
