Scythe Bay Rafter 3.5 mounts HDDs in 5.25-inch bays

Posted on Wednesday, January 14 2009 @ 19:06:43 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Scythe has unveiled the Bay Rafter 3.5, this piece of plastic enables you to install a 3.5" hard drive in a 5.25" drive bay and cool it with a 80mm, 92mm or 120mm fan. Without a fan the Bay Rafter occupies one 5.25" bay, with a fan you'll need two spare drive bays.
    Optimal mounting of HDDs:
With the Bay Rafter 3.5, standard 3.5" hard drives can be mounted perfectly in the 5.25" drive bays of a PC chassis.

    Wide range of fans supported:
The Bay Rafter 3.5 offers mounting options for all 3 common fan dimensions. The user has the choice to mount one 120 mm, 92 mm or 80 mm fan.

    Flexible cooling options:
With a fan selection, users can choose between maximum cooling or minimal noise level. By this, cooling to noise ratio can be optimized freely.
