AMD AM3 processors available in February

Posted on Thursday, January 15 2009 @ 19:20:34 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

OC Workbench heard AMD will introduce several Socket AM3 processors next month:
Currently, information is still sketchy. It was mentioned before that there will be models 925, 945, both are DDR3 variants of the models 920 and 940. The new processors will come just in time and can be paired up with existing AM2+ boards to run with DDR2 or new AM3 boards to run with DDR3 memory as it has two memory controllers within.
