    Intel's latest CPU roadmap unveiled

Posted on Monday, January 19 2009 @ 22:26:26 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

PC Games Hardware gives you a preview of what Intel will present at CeBIT in March. Here's a look at the latest official roadmap from Intel:
The previously released Roadmap has been confirmed again. Accordingly we can expect the smaller Nehalem processors Lynnfield and Havendale in the second half of the year. While Lynnfield offers four cores and eight threads, Havendale will have two cores and four threads only. So both use Hyper Threading, like the Bloomfield aka Core i7 does. But it is unlikely that they will be sold as Core i7 - the names Core i5 and Core i3 have been brought up several times on the internet, but Intel kept a tight lip about any details.
