DigiTimes heard Foxconn has landed joint design manufacture (JDM) orders for Dell's ultraportable 13.3" Adamo notebook. The site says mass production of the MacBook Air rival will commence in the second half of the year.
The JDM orders are estimated to contribute 400,000 units to the EMS provider's notebook shipments, the sources said.

Foxconn has no knowledge of the orders, claimed company spokesperson Edmund Ding.

According to the sources, sample production has already taken place at Foxconn's production plant in Yantai, Shandong Province, China.
