EA to focus more on Wii, Dead Space on the way

Posted on Sunday, February 08 2009 @ 00:10:46 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

ARS Technica reports EA is going to make a huge push onto the Nintendo Wii to get back on track. The game publishers announced Dead Space is coming to the Wii, along with a new Tennsi franchise by the end of the year.
EA is also making a huge push onto the Nintendo Wii. By taking advantage of the upcoming MotionPlus hardware, EA claims to be able to "rival Nintendo on their own platform." Dead Space is coming to the Wii, along with a new Tennis franchise in late 2009. "Nintendo is the leader," Riccitiello said, confirming what everyone already knew. "They're getting half our emphasis in terms of title counts." If EA can truly bring some of its core titles to the system and learn how to use the system's control scheme instead of fighting it, there's no limit to the sales it could enjoy.
