Intel Core i7 975 EE launch within two weeks?

Earlier reports stated the launch of the Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Edition was slated for May, but TC Mag spotted several webshops have the ultra high-end chip available for preorder with an availability date of April 7th.
The Core i7 975 EE will be clocked at 3.33GHz, with a 6.4GHz QPI, 8MB L3 cache and a TDP of 130W. The pricing of this processor is $999.
