    R.U.S.E trailer

Posted on Sunday, March 29 2009 @ 13:36:09 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Ubisoft presented the first trailer of R.U.S.E at the Game Developers Conference this week. This new RTS game is in development for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, it's set in World War II and promises card game liker gamplay experience.

Bit Tech had a chance to test it, and reports the game has some impressive technology built in:
We got a chance to have a brief look at RUSE just ahead of the announcement at a special Ubisoft event last week and, from what we saw, the game looks to be heavily based around the idea of tricking your opponents using some special tactics that were actually used in World War 2 - such as erecting false bases to distract enemies.

According to our brief chat with the developers the game is heavily influenced by the rules of poker, with players constantly trying to outwit each other with a series of bluffs and counters. That said, what we saw reminded us more of The War Magician than anything else.
