Hexus spotted a new ultrathin notebook from ASUS at Computex, the UX50V. This 15.6" CULV model uses the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 1.6GHz or Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 1.4GHz processors, Intel GS45 chipset, NVIDIA GeForce G105M discrete graphics, 4GB memory, 500GB HDD, 1366 x 768 pixels LED-backlit LCD display, slot-loading DVD burner and a 1.3MP webcam. The ASUS UX50V weighs 2.6kg and measures just 18.6mm at its thinnest point.
It will be available next month for around £999, prices in euro or US dollars are unknown.
