Acer claims 6-9 month lead in CULV notebook market

Acer chairman JT Wang claims his company has a six to nine months lead over competitors in the CULV notebook market. Wang estimates shipments of CULV-based ultrathin notebooks, like the Timeline which is pictured below, will account for 50 percent of Acer's mainstream notebook shipments by the final quarter of this year.
Acer's global notebook market share is expected to grow further since the company is leading its competitors by six to nine months in the CULV notebook market, according to company chairman JT Wang, who added that the company expects its second-quarter shipments to be better than originally expected.
