Akasa Nero S processor cooler spotted at Computex

Posted on Wednesday, June 03 2009 @ 12:31:55 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Bit Tech saw a new cooler from Akasa at Computex. The Akasa Nero S features four 8mm heatpipes, 46 aluminum fins and a large (120mm?) fan.
With four thick 8mm heatpipes the Nero S is designed for all the latest Intel and AMD sockets and has 46 aluminium fins and Akasa's unique S-Flow fan which it claims delivers "30 percent more airflow" - though we're not clear what it's 30 percent more than.

The addition of another heatpipe isn't the only difference between the Nero S and the original Nero either - this one is a lot fatter too.
