AMD debuts three new budget CPUs

AMD has introduced three new 45nm entry-level processors:
  • AMD Athlon II X2 245: dual-core, 2.9GHz, 2MB L2, 65W TDP, $66
  • AMD Athlon II X2 240: dual-core, 2.8GHz, 2MB L2, 65W TDP, $60
  • AMD Sempron 140: single-core, 2.7GHz, 512KB L2, 45W TDP, $36
  • Additionally, the Phenom II X4 945 with 95W TDP is now also available. This is a 3.0GHz part with a price tag of $225.
