Posted on Monday, August 17 2009 @ 14:56:48 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

DigiTimes reports Intel's LGA1156-based Core i5 and Core i7 processors are already available in small quantities in some retail channels in Taiwan and China. The official launch of these new Lynnfield based processors is expected on September 6, 2009.
The CPUs' current prices in the Taiwan channel are about NT$6,800 (US$207) for Core i5-750, NT$10,000 for Core i7-860 and NT$19,000 for Core i7-870, the sources said.

Asustek Computer's P55-based motherboards are priced at NT$5,490-9,300, Gigabyte Technology's at NT$5,200-8,900 and Micro-Star International's (MSI) at NT$5,000-8,000, depending on the specifications, the sources said.

Intel's Core i5-750, Core i7-860 and Core i7-870 feature core frequencies of 2.66GHz, 2.8GHz and 2.93GHz, and are priced at US$196, US$284 and US$562 in thousand-unit tray quantities, respectively. The three CPUs also feature 8MB L3 Cache, dual-channel DDR3 memory controller and 95W of TDP, according to the previous reports.
