If you expected Nintendo to cut the price of its console to meet the pressure from Sony and Microsoft, you were right. Engadget has received a tip that shows a screen grab from what appears to be a Best Buy computer showing that the price cut for the Wii to $199 will be announced by Nintendo on Friday. Strangely, the same post also says that the price cut will not go into effect until Sunday. The source also claims that stores are getting increased inventory to support the expected rush of $199 Wii buyers.
