    Playboy launches iBod - pretty girls on your iPod Photo

    Playboy has announced a new service for Apple iPod users named iBod. The company will develop regular digital photo content specially for handheld media devices. The iBod gallery will initially feature 25 free downloadable images from Playboy's photo archive.

    Paid subscribers to Playboy's Cyber Club will be able to download additional pictures of nude women.

    The content will be optimized for Apple's iPod Photo devices.
    "There's a major push to do stuff for [the iPod photo], as well as any other kind of device like this," said John D. Thomas, editor of Playboy.com. Playboy has no relationship to Apple, he said, but the company wanted to be part of "this cool phenomenon exemplified by iPod photo."
    Originally the iBod content came from cropped and edited shots from Playboy's archive but the magazine says that they are planning to shoot original content especially for the iPod Photo and other portable music devices. And music will also be offered.
