    Sony: "PSP likely to be launched in North America and Europe in March"

    Sony said that it will likely launch its PlayStation Portable hand-held gaming console in North America and Europe in March.

    On Dec. 12 the PSP was launched in Japan were it sells for 19,800 yen ($190). At the end of the year Sony had shipped about 510,000 units and it aims to ship 3 million units worldwide by March 31<.br>
    Besides gaming this device can also be used to watch movies or to listen to music.
    "It will probably be March," Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) president and CEO Ken Kutaragi told reporters at a gathering of business executives, responding to a question on when it would start selling the PSP in the U.S. market.
