Intel shows off dual-core CPUs at CES

Posted on Thursday, January 06 2005 @ 20:53:19 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Intel is presenting its dual-core processors at the Consumer Electronics Show, The Inquirer reports.

But they can only be seen behind closed doors. The cores are branded X60, X50 and X40 based on their clockspeed.

Intel's dual core CPUs should be available in the second half of 2005.

The Inq also reports that Intel will show off the Sonoma as the first PCI Express solution for the Pentium M.
