AMD: 20+ DX11 titles in development

Posted on Monday, October 12 2009 @ 18:55:42 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Just like with DirectX 10.1 there's a bit of a battle between AMD and NVIDIA, one party touts DirectX 11 as a must-have feature, while the other one says it's not really a big deal as few games with DirectX 11 support will come out over the next half year. Today AMD strikes back with a DirectX 11 presentation, the company points out over 20 DX11 titles are currently in development. You can check it out at FUD Zilla.
Several gaming-oriented sites on the net have released evidence of confirmation from AMD that over twenty DirectX 11 titles are currently in development, with one already available and two more releasing before the end of Q4 2009. Before the end of this year, the list includes the now-available freeware title Battleforge (EA), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat (GSC), and Dirt 2 (CodeMasters).
