Acer debuts 18.4-inch notebook with Core i7 and Windows 7

Acer introduced the Aspire AS8940G-6865, a new 18.4" notebook with Intel Core i7 processors and the Windows 7 operating system. For $1,349.99 you get a system with the Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz processor, a 1920 x 1080 pixel LCD display, 4GB DDR3 memory clocked at 1066MHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M 1GB GDDR3 graphics card, 500GB 5400RPM HDD, a Blu-ray drive, multi-in-one media card reader, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, integrated webcam, touch-capacitive media controls, five USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, one eSATA port, 8-cell li-oin 4800mAh battery, and 5 built-in speakers with Dolby Home Theater Audio Enhancement.
Acer America today introduced the Acer Aspire AS8940G-6865 notebook PC,
featuring the new Intel Core i7 Quad-Core 720QM processor and Windows 7 Home
Premium. This mobile processor delivers extremely fast performance for the most
demanding applications such as playing games and editing digital photos and
videos.
Designed for entertainment and multimedia enthusiasts, the Aspire AS8940G-6865
offers superior performance, innovative features and advanced technology for
mobile users. This new notebook boasts a large 18.4-inch widescreen HD display
