Intel denies its promoting Larrabee in China

Posted on Wednesday, November 04 2009 @ 16:40:58 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Yesterday a DigiTimes news article claimed Intel CEO Paul Otellini was talking to graphics card makers in China about Larrabee, but an Intel spokesperson told FUD Zilla today that the DigiTimes report was incorrect.
However, today we got word from an Intel spokesman that the Digitimes report wasn't quite right. According to the Digitimes report, Otellini discussed preferential pricing and possible bundles for partners who would adopt Larabee. "That is completely untrue," said an Intel spokesman.
