Apple confirmed today at Macworld that it will start selling a stripped down Mac without monitor or keyboard for $499.

Steve Jobs said that this cheap Mac Mini would be ideal to let people switch from computers using other operating systems.

The top model will come with a 1.42GHz G4 processor and a 80GB HDD, this model will sell for $599 and the lower-end model for $499.

Jobs also said that its company sold 4.5 million iPod audio players in the 2004 holiday quarter.
