Intel and AMD dual-core processors discussed

Developers at an X86-64 message board are discussing how best to get a dual core Opteron running using an Nvidia chipset. And on another thread, there is a discussion of working with Intel's dual core chips, which may have core IDs as big as 256. Obviously for future use.
