Galaxy prepping dual-GPU GTX 285 card?

Posted on Thursday, November 19 2009 @ 22:21:39 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Expreview discovered Galaxy is working on a special dual-GPU card featuring a 14-layer PCB and enough space for sixteen memory chips, this makes the site believe that this could be a card with two GeForce GTX 285 GPUs. It's a nice feat of engineering, but I don't really think there's a market for this card anymore.
Additionaly, Galaxy has just released two more pictures of a VGA cooler which is reportedly capable of handling any GPUs with a TDP of up to 480W. The graphics card beneath the cooler looks almost the same as what the first picture shows, which means the cooler is exactly the one that is going to serve the mysterious graphics card.
