    Samsung shipped more than 15 million GDDR3 chips in 2004

    Samsung Electronics last year shipped more than 15 million graphics DDR3 (GDDR3) memory chips, the fastest graphics memory available today.

    Samsung’s GDDR3 offers gamers, workstation users, designers and other graphics-oriented users a system bandwidth up to 44.8GBps, 48% more bandwidth than GDDR1, the firm said in a January 12 press release.
