Taiwanese foundry TSMC announced its sales were up 52 percent year-over-year in November:
TSMC said it recorded sales in November of NT$29.35 billion ($909 million), up less than 1 percent compared to October. TSMC (Hsinchu, Taiwan) posted consolidated sales—including its U.S. subsidiary Wafertech—of roughly NT$ 30.32 billion ($929 million) for November, up nominally from October and up 47 percent from November 2008.

For the first 11 months of 2009, TSMC's unconsolidated revenue totaled NT$255.28 billion ($7.9 billion), down 17.3 percent from the like period of 2008, TSMC said. Consolidated sales over that timeframe totaled $264.19 billion ($8.2 billion), down 17.1 percent from 2008, the company said.
