ThermalRight Venomous X CPU cooler unveiled

Posted on Friday, December 11 2009 @ 01:16:00 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

TC Mag received some photos of the upcoming ThermalRight Venomous X, this heatsink will replace the Ultra-120 Extreme and promises to break thermal performance barriers. It should be available later this month for about $60.
Thermalright's new cooling solution measures 125 (L) x 158 (W) x 160 (H) mm, weights 775 grams, is all nickel-plated, has six 6mm heatpipes, a convex copper base with a mirror finish, and supports up to two 120mm fans.

The cooler is bundled with the Chill factor II thermal paste, and with a Pressure Vault Bracket which enables users to adjust the pressure put on the heatsink from 40 to 70 lbs (18.1 to 31.75 kg). In terms of CPU compatibility, Venomous-X can handle LGA 775, 1156 and 1366 processors.
