Notebook sales 20-fold in Russia compared to 7 years ago

Sales of notebook PCs are expected to reach 500,000 units in Russia this year. This means a 20-fold increase over the past seven years.
Two out of the top five notebook vendors in Russia in 2004 were Russia-based firms, Rover Computers and iRU. The other three makers in the top five were Japan’s Toshiba, Taiwan’s Asustek Computer and Acer, the sources revealed.
