    Mozilla's Firefox 2 roadmap

Posted on Tuesday, February 01 2005 @ 18:54:45 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Mozilla Foundation revealed some details about its Firefox 2 roadmap. An Alpha release of their new browser is planned for March and a beta release is set for April.

The final version of Firefox 1.1 is scheduled for June.
No specific details have been given about what Firefox 2 might include. But Goodger posits that some likely goals include improvements to bookmarks, accessibility compliance, and improvements to the extensions system, toolbar and software-update functionalities.
Currently the Firefox browser has been downloaded more than 21 million times. More info at NewsFactor
