    VIA and SiS expected shipments of core-logic chips to grow 10-15%

    VIA and SiS expect shipments of core-logic chipsets to grow 10-15% in 2005.
    VIA announced Tuesday that its January revenues of NT$1.55 billion were down 1.3% from the NT$1.57 billion it recorded in December.

    However, shipments of VIA’s core-logic chipsets are expected to reach 44 million sets this year, up 12.8-15.8% from about 38-39 million units shipped in 2004, company sources estimated.
