Intel prepping dual-core Atom for netbooks?

Posted on Tuesday, March 09 2010 @ 11:50:06 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

TC Mag heard a rumor that Intel is working on a new dual-core Atom processor for netbooks.
Have some salt and sit down to hear the latest from the Rumorville Gazzette, a claim that Intel is working on a Pineview family Atom processor for netbooks that features two cores. Intel is currently offering the D510 1.66 GHz dual-core chip but that targets nettops so the company could be releasing something similar for mobile use.
