Macles reveals the specifications of the Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T, a new 11.6" laptop that will be launched in the last week of March. The system is equipped with an Intel Core i5-50UM 1.06GHz processor with integrated graphics, a 1366 x 768 pixel display, Intel HM55 chipset, two memory slots, HDMI, SPDIF, Gigabit LAN, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, optional Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, optional 3G, memory card reader, and three USB 2.0 ports. The capacity of the hard drive is unknown, and the battery life will be about 8 hours.
It's still an 11.6 inch screen with 1366x768 resolution, and still a full size keyboard with flat keys. Weight is about the same, size also, and it's still about an inch thin, but slightly thinner at the previously thickest part. Port arrangement is also very similar.

The overall design is a bit refined. More sophisticated in a way, although the new color, as pictured, might also be a reason for this impression. Power button and status LEDs swapped positions. Barely noticeable anymore, except for a few faint lines, is the touch pad. Another design difference is the textured mesh like surface on the cover of the lid, which is becoming increasingly popular among all manufacturers.
