Sapphire building all X800, X850 cards

Posted on Wednesday, February 16 2005 @ 21:16:31 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

The Inq writes that Sapphire managed to get a very nice contract to produce all X800, X800 XL and X850 graphics cards.
But it appears Sapphire has won this round and is producing all X850 and new PCIe X800 cards based on the R430 core. Asus and MSI could make their own cards but it might cost them too much to produce their own printed circuit boards (PCBs), and put them together.
