ASUS Eee PC 1005PR netbook plays 720p HD video

Posted on Monday, May 03 2010 @ 21:34:49 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

ASUS introduced the Eee PC 1005PR, a new 10.1" netbook with a 1366 x 768 pixel display. The system features the Intel Atom N450 processor and is equipped with Broadcom's Crystal HD chip to enable 720p HD video playback. Other features include 1GB memory, a 250GB HDD, Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 0.3MP webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and a chiclet keyboard.

The ASUS Eee PC 1005PR uses the Windows 7 Starter operating system and uses a 6-cell battery that promises a battery life of up to 11 hours. It should be available in retail stores for about $400.
