Google rolls out desktop search tool

Google today launched the final version of its desktop search tool. A test version of this new search tool was released a few months ago - in October 2004.
Google Desktop Search, launched late on Sunday, locates e-mail, AOL chat sessions and previously viewed web pages. It also searches various file types, from PDFs and Microsoft Word files to audio, video and photo files. Source: Reuters.
