WD to launch 500GB Scorpio Black 2.5-inch HDD

TC Mag writes Western Digital is planning to release a 2.5" Scorpio Black HDD with a capacity of 500GB:

The new, higher-capacity HDD lacks a free-fall sensor but features a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, a working speed of 7200 RPM, 16MB of cache, as well as the ShockGuard and SecurePark technologies enabling enhanced reliability.

Currently the WD5000BEKT is available for pre-order @ $89.32.
