    MSI GeForce 4 MX 440 - AGP 8X vs AGP 4X

Posted on Wednesday, September 25 2002 @ 11:52:03 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Inpact Hardware has compared the MSI GeForce 4 MX440 4X AGP with the 8X AGP :
GeForce 4 MX (NV17) was always the liked evil of the journalists hardware. Not supporting certain functions DirectX 8.1 (pixel and vertex shaders) one even spoke about improved GeForce 2. The consumer was sulky, his big brother, GeForce 4 Ti 4200 gained the bay-trees of the last Nvidia vintage. However this last persists and signs aujourd.hui by proposing a new model to us, in AGP 8x (the NV18), preceding its next generation of graphics board.

    Left : the 8X , Right : the 4X
