Dell ships dual-core Intel systems

Dell will start shipping the Dell Precision 380 workstation for corporates and the Dimension XPS for consumers on Wednesday. Both systems are based on Intel's new dual-core Pentium Extreme Edition 840 and the 955X Express chipset.

The Precision 380 starts at $2,259, with support for up to 8GB of memory and four SATA drives. The Dimension XPS line starts at $2,999.
