Firefox reaches 50 million downloads mark!

Posted on Friday, April 29 2005 @ 22:34:09 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

The free opensource Firefox browser has hit the 50,000,000 downloads mark this morning at 8:58 AM PST!
Thanks to the hundreds of you who have regaled us with your heartwarming and often hilarious tales of spreading Firefox. We're featuring some of the best in the right column, and those members are taking home one of 50 limited edition coins celebrating this milestone, along with other goodies.

Firefox is simply the best web browser. Years ahead of Internet Explorer. Congratulations and a big thanks to all who are working on it so we can use it.
