Posted on Monday, January 24 2011 @ 16:10:52 CET by

CyberPower and Newegg introduce two new Intel Sandy Bridge based gaming PCs:
CyberPower Inc. (www.cyberpowerpc.com), a manufacturer of custom gaming machines, has teamed with leading online retail partner Newegg to offer three pre-built desktop gaming rigs that hit the sweet spot for price-conscious gamers or overclocking enthusiasts.

The systems, Gamer Ultra 2073, and Gamer Xtreme 1302/1304, range from a value-based AMD Dual-Core system to a pair of high-performance gaming PCs that feature Intel's new 2nd Generation Sandy Bridge architecture. The CyberPower systems are priced from $439 to $1249 and are available for a limited time at www.newegg.com and www.newegg.ca.

CyberPower's Gamer Ultra 2073 kicks off the line as a mainstream gaming PC. It features AMD's Athlon II X2 255 3.1 GHz Dual-Core CPU with Hyper Transport 3.0 Technology. The system includes 4GB of DDR3 system memory; a 1 terabyte SATA 3.0Gb/s 7200RPM hard drive and 24x DVD ±R/±RW dual layer drive. The system also includes a discrete ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics card with integrated 7.1 channel sound, 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, Xtreme Gear USB keyboard and mouse. The Gamer Ultra 2073 is available from Newegg at $439.99.

CyberPower and Newegg are also offering a pair of systems featuring the immensely popular Intel Sandy Bridge processors. CyberPower's Gamer Xtreme 1302 or Gamer Xtreme 1304 can handle any task with headroom to spare whether it's HD video, 3D games, multitasking, multimedia, or sharing photos,. Both systems deliver stunning graphics and include advanced features such as Intel's Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, which automatically speeds up your processor when your PC needs extra power and Hyper-Threading Technology, which allows each core of your processor to work on two tasks at the same time.

With a modest $869.99 price tag, the CyberPower Gamer Xtreme 1302 anchors the mid-level. It is based on Intel's Core i5-2400 3.1 GHz Sandy Bridge 64-bit ready quad-core processor with 8 GB DDR3 memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 graphics card; integrated sound and 10/100/1000 Ethernet. Storage, mouse and keyboard are identical to the Gamer Ultra 2073. Additionally the Gamer Xtreme features Coolermaster's compact HAF 912 Gaming Tower with high airflow, and compatibility with water cooling hardware.

The CyberPower Gamer Xtreme 1304 is a gaming and multimedia enthusiast rig built around the unlocked Intel Core i7 2600K 3.4 GHz Sandy Bridge processor. It features the AMD Radeon HD 6850 graphics with AMD Eyefinity Technology for immersive gaming, productivity and entertainment on up to six displays simultaneously; Microsoft DirectX 11 technology for "eye-definition" graphics and EyeSpeed visual acceleration.

The Gamer Xtreme 1304 is loaded with 8 GB DDR3 dual channel memory; 1 terabyte SATA 6.0 Gb/s hard drive; Blu-Ray player combo drive; integrated sound; 10/100/1000 Ethernet. The system has a beefy 700 watt power supply. Everything is housed in Coolermaster's HAF 912 Gaming Tower. At just $1249.99 the Gamer Xtreme 1304 packs maximum value and performance for serious gamers and professionals looking for a powerful workstation.

All systems are pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit operating system. Newegg backs all CyberPower systems with a 1-year warranty and lifetime toll-free tech support from CyberPower. Extended warranties are available.
