    AGP 2.0 vs AGP 3.0

    Op HardWarzone.com is een artikel verschenen dat AGP 2.0 vergelijkt met de nieuwere en snellere standaard AGP 3.0

    Het grootste verschil tussen AGP 2.0 en AGP 3.0 is dat de bandbreedte verdubbeld is van 1.06 GB/s naar 2.1 GB/s aan 533mhz (8X 66mhz). De kloksnelheid van AGP 2.0 was 266mhz (4X 66mhz).
    Verder is ook het voltage van 1.5V naar 0.8V verlaagd.

    Nieuwe AGP 3.0 slots zullen eerst nog backwards compatible zijn met AGP 2.0 maar later zal dit niet meer zo zijn.
    Opletten dus als je een videokaart koopt dat deze AGP 3.0 compatible is.
