    Google stops Web Accelerator

Posted on Wednesday, May 11 2005 @ 17:54:35 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Google has removed the Web Accelerator download link from its webpage, stating that the program has reached its maximum capacity and that they are working to increase the number of users they can support.
Thank you for your interest in Google Web Accelerator. We have currently reached our maximum capacity of users and are actively working to increase the number of users we can support.
A Google spokesperson said they didn't remove the tool because of security fears. It's still a limited beta and they have reached the capacity of users.
